Life is hard enough at the best of times. But it's exhausting when your mind won't let you rest
“I’m overthinking everything”
You go to bed exhausted but then your brain replays everything you said and did, scanning for mistakes and predicting problems. You want to switch off, but your mind just won’t let you rest.
“I can’t seem to get unstuck”
You want to feel more confident and more like yourself again. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts and tried all sorts of things, but you still catch yourself reacting in the same familiar ways.
“I’m trying to hold it together”
Sometimes it shows up as tiredness that never quite lifts, snapping at small things and later wondering why, or a foggy sense that you’re just coping with life rather than really living it.
If you’re anxious, or overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you’re tired of repeating, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help you gently retrain the way your mind responds.

One-to-one talking therapy to help you break the patterns that hold you back
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a one-to-one therapy that works directly with the way your brain has learned to respond to stress. Through structured conversation and guided relaxation, it interrupts the cycles of overthinking, anxiety and reactivity that have become your default, replacing them with calmer, steadier responses.
It's therapy that focuses on a positive future, rather than digging up the past
When you hear the word "therapy" you might imagine analysing painful memories. That's not how SFH works. The focus is always on where you want to be, not where you came from. Practical, purposeful, and positive, it's a session you'll actually look forward to each week.

It starts to feel like your mind is on your side again
Instead of overthinking everything, you're better able to deal with life's challenges. You're more patient, sleep actually restores you, and things that once felt overwhelming become easier to handle. And this isn't some distant prospect after years of therapy. It's what many people begin to experience within just a few sessions.
Ideal for people who are tired of not feeling like themselves
People come to me at many different points in their lives.
Some are managing on the surface but feel unsettled beneath it. Others are finding things genuinely difficult. What brings them here is that feeling that something needs to shift. You might recognise yourself in the list below. If you do, we should talk.

Here’s what working together actually looks like

1. A relaxed weekly conversation
We meet online and talk through what's been happening, what's been going well, and what you want to change to move life forward. There's no pressure to revisit painful memories, the focus is always on the practical steps to a better future.

2. A guided trance to use at home
Between sessions, you'll have a short audio recording to listen to before bed. It helps reinforce the work we're doing, settle your mind and strengthen the new patterns you're building. Many people find it becomes a calming part of their evening routine.

3. A short block of focused sessions
Most people work with me for around 6 to 12 sessions. It's structured and time-limited, with a clear goal from the start. Each week builds on the last, and my clients are often surprised how soon their world starts to feel better.
Your brain already knows how to change. We just help it remember how
When stress builds up over time, your brain adapts. It shifts into a kind of permanent alert mode — scanning for problems, replaying worst-case scenarios, making it hard to rest or think clearly. This isn't a character flaw. It's just your brain doing what it thinks is keeping you safe.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy interrupts that cycle. The structured conversation gives your mind a clear direction forward. And the relaxed trance makes it easier to form new responses, rather than defaulting to the old exhausting ones. Grounded in neuroscience, CBT, Neurolinguistic Programming, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), it's a proven, practical approach that helps your brain find its way back to calm.

The day I nearly died is the day this work began
In 2013, my bicycle and a lorry got into an argument. Spoiler: the lorry won. I was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The months that followed changed the direction of my life completely.
While recovering, I was inspired by the NHS nurses who cared for me. Whatever was happening, however frightening, they made me feel safe. As soon as I was well enough, I started training as a nurse myself. And I've been working for the NHS ever since.
Over the years I worked in intensive care and oncology. Hard, emotional work, but it showed me how profoundly the mind shapes the way people cope with illness. That link between mind and body is what led me to SFH, and to helping people with conditions – like anxiety – that rarely lead to hospital, but which seriously impact quality of life. And I'd love to help you.
